11 Seasons of Performance: TPMS in Australian Supercars

2015 Debut

4050 days ago, bf1systems’ TPMS made its racing debut in Australian Supercars. Since Perth 2015, it has been used in every race, helping to alert drivers to punctures and monitor the minimum tyre pressures mandated by both the series and tyre manufacturer.

Consistency Through Change

Over the last 11 seasons, the cars have evolved, driver line-ups have changed, and branding has come and gone. Even the TPMS itself has advanced. But one thing has remained constant: the delivery of highly accurate, reliable tyre data.

The DigiTyre Era

When TPMS was first mandated in 2015, the series adopted the DigiTyre learning system. This enabled teams to fit any wheel to any corner of the car, with the system automatically detecting sensors and delivering live data to drivers, teams, and the series via telemetry. Hand-held tools were also used to validate wheels before fitting, and to check compliance with minimum starting pressures on the grid.

The Next Evolution: Gen3 and 1SYSTEM

With the introduction of the Gen3 car in 2023, Australian Supercars transitioned to bf1systems’ latest 1SYSTEM TPMS.

This step forward delivered a range of key benefits:

  • Faster sensor learning on the car
  • Smaller, lighter wheel sensors
  • Enhanced software enabling quicker, clearer on-the-spot pressure checks before tyres are fitted

Setting the Standard Across Motorsport

Following the mandate in Australian Supercars, other leading championships have adopted the same approach. Today, bf1systems’ 1SYSTEM TPMS is fitted across:

  • Porsche Cup
  • Ferrari Challenge
  • IndyCar (from 2027)

Additional series are set to follow.

A Complete Tyre Solution

1SYSTEM TPMS delivers a comprehensive suite of tools that give competitors, series organisers, and tyre manufacturers complete visibility of tyre condition both before installation and throughout a race.

From its debut in 2025 to its role in shaping the future of global motorsport, bf1systems’ TPMS has become the benchmark for tyre intelligence delivering data you can trust, every lap, every race.
