Electronics Test Technician Vacancy

Day to day you will be involved in:

• Working to support our evolving portfolio of products to meet and exceed customer needs and delivering tasks to project delivery timescales.

• Supporting the engineering team with product DV (Design Validation) testing by:

  •  evaluating test requirements

  • developing test plans and procedures

  •  managing prototype and pre-production manufacture of samples to be used in the DV test plans

  • identifying and managing test providers

  • liaising with test providers to ensure tests are completed on time

  • tracking and reporting test status to Engineers and Project Managers

  • preparing test reports of DV testing

• Providing, analysing, and producing design documentation

• Assisting with the analysis and investigation of any product failures

• Providing electrical/electronic technical assistance

• Providing support in the manufacture of test fixtures, production equipment and test rigs

• Assisting with work instructions, user manuals and other product documents

• Interpreting test requirements and troubleshooting and repairing test and calibration systems

• Performing tests and calibrations of products as and when required

To be successful you will have:

The ability to read and understand electronics schematics

Fault diagnosis to component level on electronic assemblies

Soldering skills for both through hole and surface mount components

A basic understanding of microcontroller systems and peripherals

A basic understanding of RF systems is desirable

Experience with electronics test equipment such as DVM, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers is desirable
